Day 2 Viareggio

Today, an exciting day of cycling begins in Viareggio, heading towards Lido di Camaiore for breathtaking sea views. You'll face the challenge of the Passo Lucese da Gombitelli, offering breathtaking panoramas, before descending to Lucca, where you can explore its picturesque streets and rich history. Finally, the return to Viareggio will include varied landscapes, from hills to coastal plains.

Day 3 Viareggio – San Gimignano

We'll have time to explore its streets, taste local wine, and soak up the charming atmosphere. Finally, we'll stay in San Gimignano to rest before continuing our journey.

Recommended Airports

We suggest arriving at least one day before the start of your Tuscany bike tour, allowing you to adjust to the time zone and minimizing the risk of missing the start of the trip due to flight-related delays. We recommend flying into Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR) or Pisa International Airport (PSA).

Train Stations

Rome and Milan also offer flight options. From Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), you can take a direct train to Rome's central station, Roma Termini. Follow the signs for "Stazione/Train Station." Trains depart twice an hour. Tickets can be purchased at ticket offices or ticket vending machines. All tickets must be validated before boarding the train: do so by stamping your ticket in the yellow boxes near the platform. The journey takes 30 minutes.

From Rome Termini, transfer to a train to Florence. Freccia Rossa trains depart frequently and are the fastest. The trip takes an hour and a half and costs between 45 and 65 euros per person per trip.
